Microsoft’s Kinect may have ended up being in more theme parks and museums than homes.
When they’re working 100% they look pretty nice, but the maintenance on them I assume is absolute hell, and the “skin” around their cheeks seems to be the first thing to start failing and it gets pretty noticeable pretty fast. The ones in HKDL are already showing their age.
Disney World will update the Elsa, Anna and Kristoff animatronics in Frozen Ever After at EPCOT early next year. For the refresh, the animatronics will ditch the projection faces and get a look inspired by the figures featured at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland.
I’ll probably write something larger once I’m on the flight home, but my hot take today is that even though HKDL is not the best castle park, it absolutely may be my favorite. Gorgeous spaces, fun, unique attractions, and brilliantly low crowds. Walked onto everything all day.
Universal Beijing so far is one of the weirdest parks I’ve ever been to. So much feels beautiful, so much looks unfinished, and it’s crazy to think this is the same team that opened Epic only a few years later. Can’t wait to see how their Houses feel later tonight!
Just got off Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. The ride is a masterpiece, but not because it has the most figures or the best figures. Letting you just spend time in these giant scenes and watch them transition is a transformative experience. Truly fantastic work.
Everyone knows the best first anniversary you can have is killing an iconic opening day attraction.
THIS JUST IN: the last day to experience DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom is February 1, 2026. 🦖💔 The attraction closes permanently on February 2 to make room for a new space themed to the Tropical Americas.
