TI played Pera 1v1 for the head coaching job, it's obvious

Grizzlies owner Robert Pera tried to buy out his minority owners after meeting a woman who thought Justin Timberlake was the real owner, sources tell @PabloTorre. Pera also challenged one of his best players to 1-on-1 — and tried to fire the head coach when the game fell apart.

Are there any reporters at the post game press conference that ask the simple questions? 'Coach TI - why are you so dedicated to the minutes distribution, despite poor performance from multiple lineups?' 'What is responsible for the collapse of double digit leads in the 4th?'

Same. And I understand having a deep bench for the future, but including this upcoming draft - we will have 6-8 necessary rotation players all with >3 years of experience. If we go that route, we are at least 3 years away from competing

Not blind faith. I’m on team “blow it up” but I can understand the other side too.

This just blind faith that the current injury prone players will automatically have career-best health, and that JJJ is consistent on both ends for a full season. Thats just too optimistic to be realistic

I mean honestly. Why would we do that? When we can wait and see who the pick produces (could easily yield one of the top 4 guys) and you could have one of the deepest teams in the league. It’s no rush honestly

We gotta be realistic bro, we cannot continue to believe in this man's health. It's no one's fault, but it's just unwise to think he is going to more consistent available. Trade him while we can

Ja Morant will be reevaluated from his elbow injury in three weeks, the Grizzlies announced

TI answers every question very coherently, and usually chooses the right words. It's actually DOING good things on the court that seems to be a glaring issue

I asked after the last game.

Scary thing is, I agree, yet TI is getting fired at some point next season. So just to be prepared, the next few seasons could look GRIM - no Ja/JJJ + new tbd coach and a lot of really young players (but for the better long term imo)

Just trade Ja and Jaren if this is going to be the way moving forward. It’d make a lot more sense that way, to me at least.

This is unfortunately true yet again

its how we lose tho, it feels so avoidable. this is demoralizing

I'm starting to think its part of the game plan

stopped watching at half cos i knew that lead was fake but its genuinely sad as shit we continue to lose these huge ass leads😭

The coach is terrible, it's pretty clear. But as Alex said - they are going to wait til TI at least gets a chance with a fully healthy roster. Is full health possible this organization? Different question haha

Maybe in some way sure but not too significant in terms of moving the needle for what Zach has talked about being their real goal. And again this is coming from somebody who never liked the hire anyway, but just objectively he isn’t going anywhere until next season depending on…

This is one of my arguments for why I think the coach is a much bigger issue than the roster. I genuinely think we would have won like 10 more games if the coach had any feel for rotations, despite the roster

hockey subs still the worst thing ive ever seen man idk how u can take out cam after he made those 2 quick 3s and is hot

Yeah I'm not mad at it honestly

Ja had the ball racing upcourt with over 3 seconds left. I think it’s defensible to prefer this scenario over a timeout, Ja could have potentially gotten to the rim in this amount of time

Credit to Iisalo for leaving the main guys in with 7 mins left, I appreciate the adjustment. Going 1-4 FTs in one possession is hard to understand, but we live with that I guess Credit again to Iisalo for not calling timeout, I trust Ja in transition - but that look was bad

Well said

We want what’s best for the franchise 🫡

This the type energy you see from your coworker that just put in their two weeks notice for a better job

So many of these people don't play 😂😂

They still got 12 front and center in the team photo

Damn other fanbases sound just like us haha

Played full 82 games a season ago, puts on a suns jersey and immediately gets injured and only played one game so far halfway through the season, it’s just laughable at this point

Coach just has an excel sheet of minutes rotations. Silly of you to think he might have a play to call or any basketball guidance.

Jaren Jackson has 30 points. He needs the ball in these situations. How does he not touch it twice?

Jaren got the special treatment tonight (33 mins instead of 30) but best believe not a single other man went over 30 mins. Job well done TI, mission accomplished
