“I can’t believe the month of Halloween will be here soon.”

They sip their drinks and smile... this day is continuing on a fine path. Where it will go next, nobody is sure... but he's not complaining.

She raises her cup as well and smiles. “Cheers.”

He looked over to her and raised his cup. "To the future, and may our lives be happy ones."

She chuckled. “When Dr. Cee returns we will order food.”

He felt his heart skipping a beat as he felt her hand playing over his. It felt as if time stood still... The euphoric feeling was interrupted a few seconds later by his stomach grumbling.

She smiled, playing her hand over his hand.

He sighed happily and looked at Sabrina. She was the main reason he was able to pull through in the first place.

“I’m glad too. I know it has t been easy either.” She replied.

"And the sad part is, I saw monsters all the time at that age." He felt the memories of his dreams come flooding back... deserted towns, ranches and farm houses, numerous nightmare encounters... "I'm just glad that I got better as I aged."

“I mean you were just a kid then, we can’t help and see monsters at that age.”

"Pretty much... after what happened, I can't blame him for being sore. I just wish he didn't need to take it all out on me."

“Let me guess, he still treating you like trash after the mine incident years ago?”

"Well, things with my brother are still good as gold... I can't say the same for things with our father, though..." He wasn't sure if he should go into details, lest word get back to his father on this... and if it did, he knew he was up the creek without a paddle.

Dr. Cee came over and took their orders. “So how are things at home, with your dad and Tommy?” She asked Harvey.

He sat with Sabrina at the table she indicated. It seemed like this would be a calm coffee date after all - and lucky for him, too, after his morning unease.

“There’s a table over there.” She lead the way to the table and sat down.

He looked around for a vacant table, hoping that there wasn't much of a crowd there that day. He knew he looked conspicuous in front of Sabrina, and he wasn't sure the rest of town would ignore him.

“Here we are. My Aunt Hilda should be working unless her husband is working today.” They entered the coffee shop, “I guess Dr. Cee is working today.”

He held her close, sighing happily. "Always..." It didn't occur to him that his little hang-up was slowing their walk to the Spellman coffee shop.

“Harvey, you never will, we’re in this together.”

He looked in her eyes and smiled. "Very good. I don't want to be without you, Brina."

She smiled. “That’s good I’m guessing right?”

"Today, after so many of those kind of dreams... I feel like I've been reborn... like I'm free to just be me in this world again... with you."

“I’ve had nightmares, but I’ve always woke up in the same reality as we are now. Why?”

"I wish I knew, Brina... although I think I can hazard a guess. It's crazy, I'll admit, but... have you ever felt like you lived different lives while you were sleeping at night and dreaming? That's how it's been for me for a while..."

“how come you have the jitters? You usually never have the jitters.” She replied.

He took another deep breath, and had a look around him. He noticed that a lot of the people nearby were calmer than he was usually used to... not that he was complaining, he could use the relaxation.

“I think we will, Harvey.”

"And may we stay so forevermore." Taking a deep breath, he basked in the springtime breeze.

“The four of us have been best friends since we were little kids. Best friends forever I think.”

"That's true... the pair of them have always been there for us whenever we felt out of sorts." He hoped that they would be there to help fill in the blanks, just in case something in his own mind had gone askew.

“I know the feeling. But hey look at it this way, we have Roz and Theo to keep us in line.” She replied.

"My apologies," he replied. "For the longest time, I felt I've been living in a constant dream state and it felt like I opened my eyes for the first time today."

She smiled looking back at him. “Harvey you act like you’ve never been to Greendale, you’ve lived here all your life.”

He grabbed his coat and accompanied her to the coffee shop, noticing the beauty of town along the way.

“We’ll get your coat and we shall head out.” She said smiling.

He smiled, he could use a strong cup of coffee. "I'd love to, Brina."
