We are delighted to see this week that the initiative to create what will be the first life size statue of Virginia Woolf is proceeding apace. It is planned for the river bank in Richmond London where Woolf lived for ten years from 1914 to 1924. 1/n

She is just so good. She was one of the writers who made me want to be a writer. I particularly love how she keeps the camera incredibly close for page after page. And then she knows the exact moment to suddenly pull the camera right back. The effect can be astonishing.
