What an evening! Huge thanks to the fabulous fellas of @ACDixieYEG for another amazing summer concert! Tonight felt like a party after surviving the last year of Covid. Already looking forward to having you back next summer for a 3rd year in a row! :) #yeg #yegjazz #yegmusic
After an evening of laughs with @ExtraLars last month, excited for engagement #2 in my 2nd annual backyard summer concert series. Oh how we've missed theatre, live music & entertainment! Making up for lost time now that summer`s here! Thanks again for a great show, Lars!
This past year has brought into sharper focus that the Greatest Generation truly was just that. So many seniors expressed shock this past year regarding the selfishness of so many during the pandemic and how little sacrifice people were willing to make (1/4)
to keep those around them safe - the anti-maskers, the anti-vaxers, the queue-jumpers, the people who thought they were above the rules and looked for loop holes, the constant whining about restrictions while not following them... (2/4)
I agree with them that if there was a World War now, humanity would be at a loss. Few have even been willing to do what it takes to keep people in their own city safe; those same people would not bravely head overseas to fight for those they haven’t even met. (3/4)
As we remember the 77th anniversary of #DDay & those who fought not for recognition, but b/c it was the "right thing to do”, I am more appreciative than ever. Thank you for your service & sacrifice. Thank you for putting the greater good ahead of yourself. (4/4)
Was proud to join one of my #warvet clients on @GlobalEdmonton honouring the anniversary of D-Day, 77 years ago this month. Ernie Wood was on one of 1st boats that landed at Juno Beach. Only 7 of the 32 men aboard his landing craft made it to the beach. globalnews.ca/news/1379846/d…

If you were a soldier in #WWII, would you have relied on your Red Cross Card to save you if you were captured? In another moving clip from his video #biography, #warvet client Ernie Wood tells of his decision to carry a gun as well. youtu.be/8PYR24oivFE #lestweforget #DDay

Lest we Forget - Ernie's Memories of WWII
Approaching #DDay77, I'm thinking of all the #veterans I have been privileged to spend time w/ & what an honour it is to capture their stories. As the @EdmontonJournal notes, recording #vets stories can make history come alive for younger generations. edmontonjournal.com/news/local-new…
An incredible account from #WWII #veteran Ernie Wood of his experiences following #DDay. As he was driving the army jeep to pick up casualties in the swamps, German SS popped out of the bushes to kill them and steal their uniforms. #DDay77 #lestweforget youtu.be/Dq4pUajApSI

Amen! Restrictions need to be enforced, starting with Grace Life church. Many Albertans have clearly and repeatedly demonstrated that they are unwilling to do the right thing without the threat of fines. #ableg #abhealth #yeg @AHS_media @jkenney msn.com/en-ca/news/can…
