Minor Leaguers make poverty wages because of baseball's antitrust exemption. In June, the Supreme Court expressed a willingness to reconsider that exemption. Today's lawsuit by four recently-contracted MiLB teams may be the case that one day ends the exemption. This is huge.

MLB players are more united than in recent memory. That is the story--not the views of an outlier or two firing off on social media. In the face of a legalized monopoly, the players stood up for themselves and drew a line in the sand. I applaud them.
Recapping the past six days of baseball restart talks... MLB on Wednesday: 100% gonna have the season MLBPA on Saturday: OK, tell us when and where MLB today: Actually maybe we won't have a season
- 82 games at sliding scale = ~33% salary - 50 games at prorated pay = ~33% salary - 76 games at 75% prorated pay = (drumroll) ~33% salary It all comes back to the same place. MLB keeps making the same offer in different forms.
MLB has made proposal to Players. 75 percent Prorated salary. 76 game season. Playoff pool money. No draft pick compensation for signing player. Season finishes September 27th. Post season ends at end of October. Significant move towards players demands and effort to play more.
