Great show of feeling today by many locals. Let it become known that the borough of Merton residents’ don’t tolerate unnecessary tree felling.

Great to see drivers hooting and giving a thumbs up as they go past

Greening streets has so many benefits... well done Merton 👏🏻

Great 1st community planting day for #MertonGardenStreets — 67 streets already on board, more signing up still. Thanks to our sponsors: local community energy group @CREWEnergyLDN, #AirWick & @wwf_uk who advised on plants. Initial observations below. 1/

Planting a mix of native and introduced plants can help pollinators by extending the flowering season. Here's a handy chart of popular garden plants that pollinators particularly like.

Greener front gardens increase wellbeing. A recent study by @LaurianeSuyin shows how greener front gardens deliver a measurable decrease in stress - and increased happiness. 2021 is the Summer of #LoveYourFrontGarden on the #SouthfieldsGrid. Join us on 24 April!
