pretty much every time there's an opportunity to pay it forward, BIPOC give WAAYYY more time, energy, and $. (we know from a lot of experience!) so, if you are a white writer who has not yet returned ANY MONEY to Black and Indigenous MFA applicants, it's time to pay up! 🤷♀️💰

Do you have $$$ academic funding already? let's drain those ivory towers for all they've got! send in some cash. u may have zero control over the actual efficacy of any ~diversity~ initiatives at ur institution. but u CAN rn send us $35 aka like 2x takeout!
we have been supporting underrepresented writers as they apply to MFA programs for *five years* (whoa). the thing is, we cannot take on cis yt volunteers to read writing samples, etc. due to many reasons. if u are a cis yt writer who has asked us/ wants to know how to help...
i rlly like a trend we heard about, it's called send us $$ to support Black and Indigenous MFA applicants, + then venmo request that ammt from your older sibling who works in tech.
