65% of #COVID19 cases in Boston are people under the age of 60. We need everyone to stay home. Wear a face covering when you leave your house for food or medicine. Stay 6 feet away from others. Don't gather in groups. Wash your hands often. Strict social distancing save lives.

This is important for people to understand. Early intervention ensures that health systems have the capacity to deal with #COVID19 cases and helps in slowing/stopping the spread of the novel virus. #PublicHealth

My takeaways: 1) early intervention spares the health system from intense stress -- like Philly vs. St. Louis. 2) Early intervention means before it feels bad. Guangzho intervened when they had 7 confirmed cases & 0 deaths. Wuhan's came when they had 495 confirmed cases, 23 dead

In places with many known & suspected COVID cases it is getting really intense. Efforts to do contact tracing are overwhelming even the top health departments nytimes.com/2020/03/09/nyr…. At this stage it is wrongheaded to pour exponentially growing resources into this strategy.
