What have I learned since having ALS? 1) Continuously need to adapt to your new body. 2) Caregivers are incredible. 3) Patience is a virtue. 4) Never trust a fart.

The latest ALS Focus survey on Health & Wellbeing is open until Nov 14. If you’re living with ALS, caring for someone with ALS, or a surviving caregiver, would love for you to share your perspective at alsfocus.org

The FDA has a case study for the Tofersen approval. It makes clear NFL is a viable surrogate marker for ALL ALS cases. We can stop saying "ALS has no biomarkers" - that is not true. Now we need to find drugs that match tofersens dramatic reduction in NFL. fda.gov/media/186135/d…

Sort of my thoughts...how is this different than current practices? Paul Kim, advisor at the NORD, put it bluntly when he wrote...that the framework,... “is all wrapper and no gift.” The RDEP, he continued, “is merely a restatement of current Agency practice.”

While the new framework signals continued flexibility at the FDA regarding rare disease approvals, some analysts and advocates question what tangible impacts the new guidelines will have. #FDA #rarediseases #regulatory #biospace hubs.li/Q03GT0F60

Seems to be a disturbing trend taking place. Is this how we Make America Healthy Again?

Yes, verified via FDA records and industry reports: only two ALS-specific FDA-attributable delays since 2000—both in 2025 (Coya's IND miss in July and Neurizon's NUZ-001 extension to October), linked to agency restructuring and staffing cuts under the current administration. No…

Is chaos the official new policy at the FDA?

Oh but just days ago we were told @VPrasadMDMPH had left the FDA because he didn't want to be a distraction and wanted to spend more time with his family Seems he's back Does this mean that he does want to be a distraction and doesn't want to spend more time with his family?
