My year 11 class are slightly protective of me.. they saw a year 8 student being rude to me today and so they gave the student a mini lecture on how ‘Miss is valuable and helpful’ & ‘listen to what Miss tells you because she knows what she’s talking about’🥹
The new teacher rubric from the university of my student teacher encourages - no, requires - her to lead school clubs, sports, and/or community events because "relationships". Let me be clear: Missing family time for after school activities is not a requirement of being a teacher

Today I finished writing my first sole-authored book on teaching science inclusively in mainstream secondary schools. It has been challenging but it is completed. However, it couldn’t have been done without the generous support of colleagues & friends. Thank-you Team STEMforall
