SDDOT crews recently installed Lane Merge Signs (referred to as W9-4 and W4-8) at Western Avenue and the Interstate 229 northbound on-ramp in Sioux Falls. These signs are not among the most common you will see on our highways, so we wanted to talk about their meaning and purpose.
