It has been a busy week in and around Munich for our exchange group.
The German exchange group have arrived in Munich. Pupils are all with their host families and looking forward to the week ahead.
At @BoroughmuirHS in Edinburgh, I met with very motivated pupils who learn German and their passionate teachers. Great to hear that so many kids learn 🇩🇪 & about the outstanding efforts of the school to promote German language learning. Thank you for the excellent visit!

The European Day of Languages Quiz is live on year group Teams pages. It's open until Friday, so there's still plenty of time to have a go. Winners and prizes will be announced next week.
Fabulous @CEC1plus2 and @EdinburghNapier @SylvainBlanche meeting today to launch our schools and university partnership writing project this year.Napier students will work with Advanced Higher Languages students to produce articles for the outstanding Worldwide Napier magazine.
Today, we said goodbye to Ms Hastings. In the five years she has been in the department she has been an outstanding colleague and an inspiring teacher to all her pupils. She will be greatly missed, but we know she will do a great job as Head of Languages at Forrester.
We are looking forward to welcoming pupils back to school tomorrow. Could all pupils (except new S4) who have any Languages text books, please return them to the library as soon as possible? Thank you!
We've reached the end of the strangest term in memory. Just wanted to post a quick message to wish all the pupils, parents and staff of @BoroughmuirHS a lovely summer break. See you all in August!
I was overwhelmed by the level of engagement and enthusiasm of the P7s on their virtual 3 day visit today. They were so keen they nearly broke the internet! We're really looking forward to seeing that level of enthusiasm in the classroom in August!

It was so nice to get into school today and do some prep for the Virtual 3 Day Visit next week. Departmental meetings on Teams are no substitute for seeing amazing colleagues in person (at a safe distance of course). We had a lot of fun making videos for the P7s (see screenshots)

Well, it's been a strange term but we've reached the holidays. I hope all pupils and staff at @BoroughmuirHS have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, despite the strange circumstances in which we all find ourselves. Stay safe and healthy, and I hope to see you all soon!
