Took 2 days off from the computer and came back to find that Chrome is apparently now hiding all URL paths and just showing the domain name for all URLs, unless you hover over your address bar. Is this a thing now? Can it not be?

Hi @JohnMu . If I do max-image-preview:none on a number of images my understanding is that these won't appear in the web & image search results but Google will not disregard them completely from an indexation and relevance standpoint. Is this assumption correct? Tnx!
Google Passages is not a change to *indexing,* it is a change to *ranking." So a paragraph on your page may be ranked/displayed differently than the rest of the page content (i.e. featured snippets), but the full page will still be indexed. Thx for initially flagging @glenngabe
This is an important distinction about the new Google Passages algo update. In my mind it means a page can now rank for BOTH it’s overall topic AND for specific sections within the post, increasing ranking opportunities for good content seroundtable.com/google-passage…
