Respectability in dress is stupid bc it masks the issue. Such judgements are rarely about the clothes, but rather about the bodies underneath. Would Trump and Vance acted politely if Zylenskyy showed up in a suit? Unlikely. No one raised an issue with Elon in t-shirt and topcoat.
Well....dressing is also all about knowing your audience too, right? Anyone advising Zelensky would be smart to tell him showing up to meet Trump in pajamas is going to get you off to a bad start.
Endeavoring to dress well is so rare these days that people compliment me on a sport coat and jeans and reference it by saying “I like your suit”. Always grateful for a positive interaction, but what happened?

Look at this shit! I put out a small pile of almonds for the local murder and sat and watched them again. These motherfuckers lined up SINGLE FILE and took turns eating a couple almonds and leaving some for the next bird.
