Guess what's on the Kindle Top 100 for Gay Romances today? You all know, because you helped get it there. I can't thank you all enough for booting me over this milestone. Best readers ever! (And just in case you haven't read it yet: amzn.to/3iCOEo6 )

Let me be clear (a thread): Those "all over the place" feelings you've been having? They are symptoms of stress, NOT personal failures of yours. Do you feel FLAKEY + INCONSISTENT? That's b/c your brain doesn't know what news to brace for next, or what next month will hold.

Current wish: More of the obsession-making amazing "Sixteenth Watch" by @MykeCole, with a spinoff series of the Navy POV written by @Stonekettle. (Also, if Jane doesn't end up with the hot Navy guy, I might have a small tantrum.)

Social distance like you’re a regency couple that dare not be closer than 6 ft least you give into your feelings and embrace, thus ruining your reputation beyond repair

I do not know @kristadb1, yet I just yelled "CURSE YOU KRISTA BALL" when I discovered the pre-made @skyladawn cover I had my eye on was out of stock.

Almost every book I've written, I've written 20 minutes at a time. Small bursts of focus, with space between. Sometimes in those bursts, I write, and sometimes I stare out windows, but the fact is, you can make big things over small moments.

If you write 10k a day, you will end up with a book. If you write 1k a day, you will end up with a book. If you write 500 words every Tuesday, you will end up with a book. If you write 100 words before bed, or 50 whenever you can, you will end up with a book.

Checking in for flight. New question asks whether there's anything in my hand luggage that could be used or adapted to injure a person. I'd be a pretty shitty novelist if I couldn't figure out a way to kill a person with *something* in my backpack.

It felt appropriate to finish "The Killing Light" by @MykeCole with 2% left in my Kindle battery. Almost dead, almost dark, but not quite. It held as long as it needed to. Just like Heloise. Thank you for this incredible journey, Mr. Cole. You did well, sir.
