Moose2Model
@Moose2Model
I am the software exploration tool http://Moose2Model.org implemented in JavaScript. Try me at http://moose2model.org.
Moose2Model is newly implemented in JavaScript. Please visit moose2model.org and try it out. It is still a work in progress. Feel free to open an issue in the Github repository. There is no more capacity to maintain the Small Talk version (sorry).

The authors use CodeConcise to extract a metamodel from code which is similar to SOMIX. @martinfowler

FINAL § Alessio, Tom, and Shodhan complete their article on what they have learned from using GenAI with legacy systems. GenAI helps them build a capability map, identifies dead code, and has promise for better translations between platforms. martinfowler.com/articles/legac…
It is now possible to visualize Python coding with Moose2Model #Python github.com/Moose2Model/Py…

Please join the Google Group groups.google.com/g/somixsuite to get updates about Moose2Model and contact other users.

Functions which are called from an html file are now displayed correctly. The following diagram can be reproduced using the Github repository and be displayed by calling moose2model.org Try with your own JavaScript code. #JavaScript #codevisualization

The parsing logic for JavaScript is currently added to me. There are many small problems to be solved. Currently @RainerWinkler adds a comment to a method to keep an overview over the next steps. The change in the diagram generation is commited. #javascript #codevisualization

Moose2Model supports now analyzing and visualizing JavaScript code for the first time. Please see the documentation. The new Twitter logo is already a diagram of a certain part of the JavaScript code of Moose2Model. #visualization #codevisualization

Hi @ChromiumDev , Moose2Model (SOMIXExplorer) needs #FileSystemAccess to access models and the working directory of users, and to extract model information from the local file system.
Moose2Model will leave Twitter. Please join the new Google group groups.google.com/g/somixsuite to receive updates about the tool and connect to other users.
Moose2Model (SOMIX Suite) is now able to extract a SOMIX model from a folder of the file system.

A new blog about the current status of this project:
A blog about my software visualization project. The new metamodel is SOMIX. I am now using "SOMIX Suite" for the suite which currently includes @SAP2Moose and @Moose2Model. blogs.sap.com/2022/08/28/som… You can easily try it in the web at moose2model.org

We haven’t been active on the project for quite some time and realized that this is not gonna change anymore. So we decided to take measures and will discontinue maintaining Sourcetrail. Read more on our blog: sourcetrail.com/blog/discontin… Thanks for your support!
Please note that it is planned to use a new metamodel for Moose2Model. See for a first draft of the background dx.doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.… . It is also planned to support the concept of "Circuit Diagram for Software" better. You are invited to contact @RainerWinkler about this.

I wrote a paper about software exploration with @SAP2Moose and @Moose2Model. I describe a metamodel with abstract entity types and propose block diagrams that are "complete": "Circuit Diagram for Software" dx.doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.…

Development versions of @Moose2Model are now distributed via ss3.gemstone.com hosted by @GemTalkSystems at ss3.gemstone.com/ss/Moose2Model…. Smalltalk Hub is retired and restricted to read accesses.

Modelling tools provide a way to create a consistent model; diagramming tools provide a way to render views of that model. We need both...
