Did you know mosquitoes appeared 220 million years ago & outlasted the dinosaurs? 🦕🦟 Our Wolbachia method works WITH nature to protect communities from dengue, Zika & chikungunya – by working with mosquitoes, not against them. #funfactfriday #mosquitofacts #wolbachia #dengue

Did you know mosquitoes live less than two months? Males live just 10 days, whilst females can live up to 8 weeks. Our #Wolbachia method uses this: females pass the bacteria to every generation, creating self-sustaining protection. One deployment. Decades of impact.…

The world's largest biofactory for breeding mosquitoes infected with Wolbachia bacteria, a method researchers use to combat dengue, hopes to protect some 140 million people from the disease in Brazil over the coming years reut.rs/4pxpjJA

"I feel as if I am saving lives." Lúcia releases Wolbachia mosquitoes in Joinville after contracting dengue herself. Her work with our wolbachia method helped reduce 86 dengue deaths to zero across 360,000 people. Now expanding to protect 150,000 more. @wolbitodobrasil

Fun Fact Friday: Dengue is called "breakbone fever" for the severe pain it causes—weeks of suffering from a single bite. Our Wolbachia method naturally blocks dengue transmission in mosquitoes. No chemicals needed. #DenguePrevention #Wolbachia #funfactfriday

2.5 milligrams. More deadly than any predator on Earth. Mosquitoes weigh nothing but kill millions. Our #Wolbachia method: we don't fight them, we reset them. Nature that helps heal itself. #redefinepossible #funfactfriday

Why mosquitoes love you? Your 340+ chemical odours smell irresistible to them. We don't make you less attractive - we re:define what happens when they bite. Our #Wolbachia method blocks disease transmission. #redefinepossible #dengue

That itch? re:think what you know. Mosquito bumps = allergic reaction to saliva, not the bite. Whilst we sadly can't stop them biting, our Wolbachia method means you don't worry about disease. #redefinepossible #funfactfriday

Most mosquitoes fly below 7.6m, but some live at altitudes up to 2,400m! Nature's adaptability is amazing. Our #Wolbachia method has shown significant results in communities where we work, like 95% #dengue reduction in the Aburrá Valley. re:define possible #funfactfriday
