We receive $2552 per student from the state of Ohio for our PUBLIC school system. Yet their secondary voucher is $8407 toward tuition at PRIVATE schools. 🤔 ideastream.org/education/2023…

There are some days I have to be up on that board teaching a complex topic to help students understand the concept and it's not fun. Social Media sensationalized teaching. The videos of teaching concepts don't go viral.
I Teach High School Math. Every lesson can't be fun. Every lesson won't be super engaging. I try my best to do so every lesson but in reality, it's not across the board. What might be fun and engaging to one student may not be for another student.
The public may not fully understand all that goes into the decision making process & how heavy those decisions weigh on us. Now is the time that school admins have to look out for each other. That support is so powerful. I am so thankful to all of those that been there for me!

According to the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, it would cost $242M to update our current six secondary schools. And that’s just segments like HVAC, electrical, ADA requirements, etc. The cost in the bond issue to build new schools was $231M. cleveland.com/community/2020…
