I agree…ish. The noise around CW is a concern. Removing him was baffling, but as a club we must accept where we are. That doesn’t mean accepting what’s happening on the pitch right now though. I said before: sacking CW when we did could haunt this club for years, if we let it
Taking over from Wilder was always going to be a poisoned chalice (think Moyes at Man U & Emery at Arsenal) & with every game that passes, advocating for Selles to be given time gets more difficult, but if he gets the push, what if the next guy loses his 1st 4? Where does it end?
I mean I agree that Selles was never the correct choice, but a large portion of blame has to go to the players. Remember this lot bottled it when it mattered last year, massively, they're not winners and certainly not fighters.
No matter how you dress it up, he has to go. The rot has set in and it’s too deep. The players need a rocket up their arse and they’ve massively not helped themselves or the manager, with some awful displays. We also need someone to bridge the gap between moving on and CW’s reign
I proper enjoyed that — a real cup tie. Some dubious decisions but no VAR and it made it a better spectacle, an old-school ground, horrific weather, and then a pitch invasion. Lovely. ⚽️
