Tell me you’re a tired teacher in a June, without telling me you’re a tired teacher in June. I’ll go first:
Day 20 #walkingcurriculum challenge: teeny-tiny walk. What is the tiniest thing you can find? Perhaps a baby slug!
Day 19 #walkingcurriculum challenge: matter hunt! What solids, liquids and gasses can you find?
Day 16 #walkingcurriculum challenge (a bit behind, but committed!): adjective walk for school Literacy Week. Choose 1 word to describe outdoor learning! (❤️the creativity in # 3). *disclaimer: we have learned alongside of all things depicted, but unfortunately no unicorns…yet!
Day 15 #walkingcurriculum challenge: Shadow Walk! Playing with our shadows while the sun peaks in and out of the clouds.
Day 14 #walkingcurriculum challenge: the welcome walk - how can we make our shared space more welcoming? How do these changes make you feel? “Ms. A, don’t move! I’m wrapping you with love!”
Day 13 #walkingcurriculum challenge: the “Look WAY Up” walk - use your imagination to find pictures and stories in the clouds! What WONDERful things do you see? “Ms. A, what do you mean you don’t see the dancing elephant?! Turn on your imagination please!” 🐘 🩰
Day 10 #walkingcurriculum challenge: a super rainy “zoom in” walk! - what details do you notice using a magnifying glass that you would not notice with just your eyes?
Day 9: #walkingcurriculum challenge: Hiding places walk - can you find the perfect hiding spot for a mouse? A squirrel? A raccoon?
Day 6, 7, 8 #walkingcurriculum challenge: 3 days of outdoor learning at camp with the Grade 6s & 7s!
Day 5 #walkingcurriculum challenge: Texture walk! After a quick change of location due to a coyote visit, we explored all kinds of textures! Slippery, prickly, bumpy, smooth!
Day 4 #walkingcurriculum challenge: Gratitude/5 senses walk - what can you hear, smell, see, feel and taste that you are grateful for?
Day 3 #walkingcurriculum challenge: Line Walk - can you find the widest line? Thinnest line? A natural line? An artificial line? Where do these lines take you if you follow them?
