🧵 One of my favorite little-known trans history stories from is of Theodore Hoffman. He was a 22-year-old trans bellboy who was outed in 1902. His interviews represent a rare early case of trans self-narrative. In fact, the SF Examiner gave him a full page to explain his gender!
