May we raise children who love the unloved things - dandelions, worms, the spiderlings. When they’re grown & someone has to speak for those who have no voice may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the ones. - Nicolette Sowder
Happy to be learning about #moosehidecampaign with @PrairieValleySD — Great 3/4 connected that THEY are kids and I am a woman, so this is an important campaign for US 🥹
It’s been maybe 10 years since I picked up a flute! Flute was actually a big part of my life when I was growing up and I was itching to see what I remembered. Every time my kiddos come in with instruments I want to play them! Thank you @Waylon_Ye for letting me borrow and play 🙏🏽

Do you ever just look around the room and think - wow, we are working on a lot right now 🤯 loving the art these kiddos have created from migration stories they were told by loved ones. Next week we are wrapping up #whereweareinplaceandtime 🚚🚢✈️ and moving into #WhoWeAre 🧠🫁🫀
Today, January 20th, is my official 3 year anniversary @MulgraveSchool 🎉🥳 … through the hardest years of our lives, I have been so grateful for this community. Thank you for welcoming me, believing in me, challenging me & supporting me. 谢谢你 🥹 forever grateful.

Grateful for our amazing @MulgraveSchool Outdoor Ed opportunities to explore Indigenous ways of knowing and living right in our backyard! Thank you Ms.Williams!
No better way to learn about Indigenous Peoples than in the forest/ocean @MulgraveSchool taking our learning outdoors! @MsMapleBaxter
Challenged @MulgraveSchool teachers to choose their #OneWord2023 that will inspire them personally and professionally for 2023. Mine is courage.
Today, for the 100th time, I thought to myself “oops, I forgot my mask” before leaving the house. Just a reminder to be gentle with yourself if your mind is still in pandemic mode, it’s been a long few years and we did very well keeping our kiddos safe 🫶
I learned how to make mini moccasins as an ornament and they are just the cutest 🥹
Learning about global migration, students had the opportunity to visit the Chinese Cultural Centre today. Teachers were blown away by the students, knowledge, connecting to our unit, and they’re thoughtful questions. #whereweareinplaceandtime #iblearning
How many holes? How did you count?
As a black woman on a national science show, I intentionally wear braids and my curly Afro to normalize black hair in stem. In this pic, I’m wearing cornrows to study plants being sent to space at NASA.
