We lift our gazes not To what stands between us, But what stands before us. We close the divide, Because we know to put Our future first, we must first Put our differences aside.

Just a reminder that the superintendent’s recent stunts are an attempt to distract the public from his failure to apply for hundreds of millions of dollars in federal grants. He is the “Boy Who Cried Woke.” Don’t be distracted.

‼️FEDERAL GRANT UPDATE: Rep. McBride tells me OSDE did not apply for more than $270M of federal grants. He says his info is from the U.S. Dept of Education. His concern is OK taxpayer dollars will go to other states because OSDE doesn’t think the grants fit “Oklahoma values.”

Oklahoma has been a Right to Work (for less) state since 2001. As recently as 2011, Oklahoma's educational outcomes were ranked 35th in the nation - today they are 49th. Unions did not take us to the bottom... We are there because of concerted efforts by the Party in charge.

I’ve known Terri for a few years — she loved her job at OSDE and was darn good at it. She shares the truth about applying for federal grants. He is simply unfit to lead and is taking our schools down a path of destruction. tulsaworld.com/news/local/edu…

Sitting in on the full A&B committee, where State Superintendent Ryan Walters is about to answer questions about operations at the Oklahoma State Department of Education. It may be a contentious meeting. /1

Fact Check ✔️- The gov’s office says Oklahomans overwhelming want HIS education pkg- which ties teacher raises to tax credits (vouchers.) Oklahomans DO support the idea of “school choice,” which we have. But when asked whether they want tax $ going to private schools, they say NO

Why are we still talking about this? "In Oklahoma, every public school district is required to have a library collection policy and a reconsideration policy." #OklaEd oklibs.org/page/FAQ_bookc…

targeting the LGBTQ+ communities, targeting immigrants & people of color, all while our State Superintendent attacks teachers & public schools almost daily. Corporations value diversity & Oklahoma will never reach its full potential until our leaders do too. It’s time for change.
