So important to share this! Many “behaviours” in the classroom are misunderstood.
Changing our words makes so much of a difference!! I just read about: instead of “struggling ss” ➡️ “ss struggling with assessment/instruction/curric 🤔
These come naturally to some… seemingly impossible for others. But with explicit guidance , modelling & practice, these skills - like any, can improve. @HDSBSpecEd
Even better when the affirmations are written by the student for the students. #mentalhealthandwellbeing
