I had a goal to speak at @TheLeadDev. It did not even occur to me that they also have amazing articles I can contribute to. So I was very excited to be asked to convert one of my favorite talks into an article! Please read and enjoy! Feedback welcomed. bit.ly/3rUgsDb

I was honored to speak to Dr Derrick Pitts, Director of the Franklin Institute Planetarium. Today I learned that he is a North Philadelphia native from 18th and Erie Ave. We reviewed the film Black In Space, Breaking the Color Barrier. Tomayo Mendez is the first black astronaut.
