Works like a charm also in hurdling, where rhythm is everythin👌 LaserSpeed by @MuscleLabSystem
Early 00s, much thanks to @MuscleLabSystem we used machines that operated well with very low forces. Worked great for swimming but not for sprinting, vibrations were a problem. Quickly learned the line had to be super stiff & fine due to water turbulence. Guess the swim style?

With the rise of motorized speed devices, you have to think about how such education is really vetted...
Been using various machines for assisted sprinting since the early 90s. They did the job, but of course the data output was limited. I learned that pulling >5% of body mass is not only unnecessary, it can be dangerous. The trend I see on social media today is frankly ridiculous.

Not to suggest that ground contact time is unimportant, rather it should be viewed as a consequence of underlying mechanical & neuromuscular factors, not a primary driver. A comprehensive perspective is essential & step-by-step kinematic analysis may provide valuable insights

38 Jump approaches captured by Muscle Lab Laser yesterday. Infinitely better than timing gates and I am guessing much more accurate than GPS. Some of the reps and averages listed below. PRs range from 5.3 m - 7.10 m.

How To Build A Speed Workout For Athletes Acceleration Emphasis A 6 step by step process to building better speed for athletes Let’s dive in ⬇️

BSF w/ Muscle Lab Laser . 30 Build. 10 Sprint. 20 Float. Only at HF.

IMUs + Contact Grids Sensors on the feet, lumbar area, or upper back will receive reaction forces differently than contact grids that use IR. Scientists work on protocols to improve data quality, so when coaches let athletes cheat on the test it isn't good for the profession.
Use this simple 3 tier acceleration workout to build speed: a) Prowler Marches x10m b) Resisted Sprints x20m c) Drop In Sprints x20m Perform 4-5 rounds Full rest in between each round performed Usually use this in our intro blocks for new athletes or coming off our season
Playing around with 15-0-5 with back pedaling with the musclelab system. It was actually @DHMov idea to reduce the chance of error from the 180 turn test as the laser can be sensitive to lateral movement. First i saw this as a CON that its more reliable this way, but now im…
Today a pilot for an upcoming study on the effects of resisted skating. Great day some with promising young ice bandy players from @atif_nu🙏🏻 @linneuni @Norduniversitet @HPCvaxjo Svensk Bandy
