Does anyone recognise this house? At a guess, probably built c.1820 somewhere in the limestone belt across central England. Plate glass windows either side of the porch a later alteration, perhaps to provide light for a serious plantsman. No clues to location.

My #countryhousepic today shows Whiteknights Park, Reading, a fine 18th century house demolished in the mid 19th century when its large grounds were divided to form plots for six large Victorian villas. The site is now the campus of Reading University.
