GospelLibrary Notes
@MyGospLib_Notes
I'm a latter-day Christian and these are just notes I've made in my GospelLibrary account. Personal study time is the best part of my day. #churchofjesuschrist
"I once was lost, but now am found!" What grace for me that the Lord's encouragement to study scripture resulted in writing this note on D&C 124:28 that turned into such a sweet, comforting reflection to bless my day. So blessed! 🥹
Grateful again for a strong witness of Jesus Christ. I was led to a testimony I wrote a year ago, and it inspired me all over again. Elder Scott was so right— record your spiritual impressions!
Grateful today for another manifestation to me of God's great love for me (and you!). Link to Wendy Ulrich: amazon.com/stores/author/…
What if the doctrines and practices I'm uncomfortable with are what God has planned out of his intense love for each one of us, and I just don't understand with my mortal language-processing skills what is being said??
I didn't realize how special this note would be to me when I began composing it on D&C 132:39.
A much gentler reading about God's laws this morning. What a sweet reminder of His love for me!
Yep, I knew it wasn't referring to people with wetsuits and SCUBA gear, but I also wasn't completely sure if "divers" in the scriptures was the same as "diverse." (was King James short on e's??) AI to the rescue! Confident this note will help me teach a lesson someday. 🤓
How to pack all my feelings and impressions into one scripture note?? I don't know, but this was my best attempt to express my amazement and gratitude to the Lord for helping me learn and receive yet more light.
I never knew that this is what "bind on earth . . . loose on earth" meant, much less that Joseph Smith defined it so clearly like this! 🤯
. . . what came when I was already late but felt impressed to just look at verse 55:
I appreciate this sweet reminder in my CFM studies today of how important it is that I be a peacemaker in my family, at work, in traffic, and even (especially?) on social media. I thank God for prophets to guide us in these latter days!
Silly me! I thought I'd start the CFM week by reading straight through Section 124 and then go back for detailed study. In verse 1 (ONE!!), I spent the next hour+ composing, pondering, and researching just this one note.😁 ADHD or not, I love how the Lord teaches me to study!!
Possibly just for me in this case, but I'm continually amazed at the comforting insights the Lord will give me when I consistently show up in study to hear His direction for me. 😊
Found even MORE comfort while studying this morning!😊
It's a matter of perspective. Knowing what I know, what has already been revealed so far, why would I ever NOT follow Him???
Message to me just now: "stop judging your efforts so harshly. do good and let the consequences follow. you don't have to be the judge of whether you're doing GOOD ENOUGH. the Lord judges your efforts, not your achievements." Love this Direction for me today (please see note).
