Production data centers have a tool for things like this, but Kevin had to get creative, using a Husky work table as a lift for the 400-pound Dell PowerEdge XE9680. It might be time to invest in more pro gear for the StorageReview lab! @DellTech @NANDoperator

Bringing your kids to work is more fun when it's @storagereview. Popcorn and LN2 memories

CXL has always been so interesting from the perspective of allowing creative ways of adding additional DRAM to servers #SupermicroStorage2024

We've been hands-on with @solidigm flash in AI workloads many times this year. Great fit, especially with the density they offer across different product lines. #supermicrostorage2024

Kevin recently spent time in Dell's laptop torture testing lab. He saw how Dell abuses their laptops with water, hinge robots, and drop testing to ensure rugged workstations live up to what's asked of them. @dell @NANDoperator

Hitting the Italian countryside for a cycling trip has been fantastic. Great roads, great food, tons of fun memories along the way.

That moment when it finally clicks for your kids how to balance on a bike. Took a couple hours this past weekend to sort it out. Really proud moment. Now to immediately buy bigger bikes with gears to handle the hills around here.

That feeling you get when a screwdriver and screw seem to be made for each other. *perfect* fit between the @WihaToolsUSA screwdriver and the @HP Elitebook 1040 G11. @storagereview

We upgraded all of the cameras in the office with the help of @Ubiquiti. By far the new AI Pro and Theta are the most fun. The 360 lens is nearly invisible in the lab ceiling tile, but lets me see anywhere in that room.

The new @HP Elitebook 1040 G11 has an incredible build. Durable body and you can take it apart to easily service. Even the battery has little tabs to pop over and allow easy battery replacement. Review coming on @storagereview

We've been working with more @Ubiquiti hardware in the past month. A new UDM Pro Max, NVR Pro, and a Pro Max 48 PoE will sit behind the scenes. What makes this really fun is just how easy and intuitive the deployments are. Etherlighting on the switch makes it easy to spot stuff.

We were onsite with @Chilldyne a few weeks ago. Their negative pressure liquid loop tech is probably one of the most interesting we've seen. Lots of benefits if you are worried about leaks when you deploy datacenter cooling solutions.

Micron has new Gen5 enterprise SSDs out - the industry is moving a little past top line performance and putting a larger emphasis on energy efficiency. We have a full writeup with AI perf details on the website. @MicronTech

This was a really fun video to shoot visiting @Dell. In my lab I have a pretty small CoolIT deployment, so seeing one rack-scale is awesome.

Liquid Cooling isn't just for the big GPU servers, dense compute platforms like these PowerEdge C6620 systems can benefit too. Kevin walks through the CoolIT loop and some of the benefits liquid cooling offers for these 2U4N servers. @DellTech @CoolITSystems @IntelBusiness

I had a fantastic time last week with @MicronTech down in Austin TX talking about SSD testing and seeing upcoming hardware.

Micron's new 9550 SSDs offer up to 14GB/s reads and 10GB/s writes, with 3.3 million IOPS - uses up to 43% less energy. Available in U.2, E3.S, and E1.S form factors, up to 30.72TB capacity and advanced security features. storagereview.com/news/micron-95… @MicronTech
