Unfortunately, my time with A to Z Sports came to an end this week. This industry continues to suffer from Google's changes. Have nothing but love for those guys and the company. That said, if you're looking for someone with plenty of writing and editing experience, I'm here🤠
So obnoxiously gifted. Plays like this are why living through growing pains were always worth it. He’s on the shortlist of terrifying playmakers to face
Ball completely died as it arrived. Great game though and way better start to the playoffs than expected.
Been fighting off a cold but was great to join this morning and talk nfl draft and playoffs. Of note, I compared Trinidad Chambliss to Kyler Murray, and that’s possibly enough for him to be QB2 in this class.

Think he’s a good candidate but not someone I would’ve wanted over Ben Johnson, for example. Why? Harbs turns 64 soon and just clashed with a HoF-level QB, isn’t a schematic guy like you said, never developed a QB besides getting lucky with Lamar, and never did more with less
Would love your thoughts on Harbaugh. Everybody is clamoring for him. Is there any concern about how little he offers schematically? Not a lot of pure CEO HCs out there.
Not a fan of this. I would’ve given him the chance to develop a better QB and see how he did with a stronger roster. Alas.
ESPN Sources: Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross met with McDaniel this week to discuss the season. After that meeting and reflection, Ross decided to move on.
First half of the season was very good. Second half was not. Think this is a mistake, even if there are several needy teams in the top 10. Can’t imagine he goes there.
Sources: Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is turning pro. He just informed the Alabama coaches of his decision.
Seems crazy. Never know from the outside but I like Monken’s resume to be a HC and he wasn’t the issue in Baltimore. Very interested to see if Miami acts to land Harbaugh and/or where Harbaugh wants to go
A key pressure point in the John Harbaugh dismissal, according to those familiar with today’s discussions, was his refusal to entertain any conversations about potentially moving on from offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
Nice player but would’ve preferred they pull off a bigger get like Byron Brown, Sam Leavitt, or Dylan Raiola. Turnover prone and not overly dynamic
From me and @chris_hummer: Sources continue to view Indiana as the top place to keep an eye on as a potential landing spot for former TCU star QB Josh Hoover. He’d been set to visit another team today but that visit is no longer expected to happen.
Assuming the Jets do what they need to do and clinch the #2 pick, I’m most interested in how the veteran QB market plays out. Malik Willis should get a fat bag (Jets? Colts/Steelers?). How much interest do Kyler and Tua get? Does TB see a future with Baker?
Fire Pete, take Mendoza. Easy start to the offseason
With the Giants win today, the Las Vegas Raiders now have clinched the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Raiders are now on the clock.
I miss having an outlet to write about situations like this. Crux of my view is I’m not understanding keeping the GM but not Stefanski. I definitely see the argument for letting KS go and probably would fire him too. But Berry’s been mostly bad too
The Browns finish the 2025 season with a 5-12 record. All attention turns to the offseason, with huge speculation swirling on Kevin Stefanski's job security.
Impressive it took as much effort as it did for teams to prevent Myles from getting that sack. Such an amazing talent. Super happy for that dude
Really baffling gameplan on both sides of the ball for OSU for far too long. Defense plays off coverage throughout allowed Miami to control the clock. Arvell Reese disappeared the last half the year. Will be an offseason with a lot of growth needed and huge focus on the new OC.
Miami deserves a ton of credit for sure. And Indiana too. There have been a number of opportunities missed by Sayin, though, and I think that’s the biggest difference. He looks like a (redshirt) freshman
Four consecutive quarters without a single point for Ryan Day’s team
Inniss sprung wide open but just a tad late
Time for a Philip Rivers thread from N.C. State. He was a special talent with his playmaking ability and willingness to improvise. Enjoy!
Down to Mendoza and Moore as first round QBs in this class. Sorsby is the wild card. But I said in the preseason this class was being oversold, and it was. Sayin, Arch, and Sellers will enter as leaders in the 2027 cycle. Lagway, Raiola, etc of course deserve mentioning
NEW: LaNorris Sellers is in the final negotiations of a deal to return to South Carolina in 2026, @PeteNakos reports. on3.com/college/south-…
OSU played unbelievably poorly and was still in a great position to win or at least be up entering the final drive. Losing always sucks but think they will walk away with a clear plan of action to improve
Ohio State's last two drive: 27 plays, 151 yards, almost 15 minutes TOP. Both got inside the IU 10. Zero points.
