Deep Learning and the NFL Draft continues! Scraped all the Combine, NCAA individual stats, NCAA SRS (@pfref ), NCAA SOS, and High School Recruiting Ranking (if available) data that I could find on Pass Rushers. More work to do. But encouraging. #sportsanalytics #NFLCombine2019
Not a "win" by any means, but results from my "Edge" Neural Network are encouraging. Using NCAA stats, Combine, NCAA Strength of Schedule, College Team Strength, and High School Recruiting Ratings to predict NFL Production for Edge Players. #NFLDraft #SeniorBowl #SuperBowl #AI
Good read! I don’t know much about poker, but I’m learning a lot about probability #poker #math #mathematicsofpoker

1.Okay, So I made a model to predict the "Overall Selection" of a RB in the @NFL Draft. To do this I made a few different models and combined them into one model. If you're interested I will explain more inside the tweet thread. Feel free to share and talk about this thread!(pls)
What do you think @CFD22 ? Are teams accounting for college offensive system enough?
If @JoshAllenQB completed one more pass per game in 2017, he would have had a 60% completion % for the year. I wonder if the narrative would have been the same if he played in an offense with 5-10 bubble screens a game like other QBs in this class #NFLCombine

Will Hernandez and only 4 other linemen have ever ran <5.16 40YD and >36 reps in bench press at the #NFLCombine One of those players is Roberto Garza. A fellow Texas college linemen and weight room beast. @pfref

Who remembers "The Rule of 26-27-60"? Which states that a top QB prospect should have scored at least 26 on the Wonderlic, started at least 27 college games, and completed 60 % of his college passes. I ran a Learning Program on 80 NFL QBs. And those numbers weren't far off.
In need of help, please RT. In process of my doctoral dissertation: a quantitative study of NFL statistics. Need a PhD graduate who resides outside of California to be a content expert on my committee in order to proceed. Plan to graduate in 2018. #phdchat #NFL #phdlife #Help
