Joseph was betrayed, sold into slavery, & put into prison falsely accused. Yet God used those difficult situations to bring Joseph to the place where he could be used to accomplish God's will. God uses your difficult circumstances to change you & use you for His glory & purposes.
We are always responsible for how we act regardless of how we feel. We may not be able to control our feelings, but we can control what we do with those feelings. "A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls" (Proverbs 25:28).
Throughout the Bible are examples of people crying out to God, weeping & passionately airing their complaints. An entire book, Lamentations, is a five-chapter lament over the destruction of Jerusalem. To shun the bitter expression of grief & sorrow is neither human nor biblical.
We are called to be a light to the world, and one way we can shine Messiah’s light is through hospitality. The littlest things often have the biggest impact. Simple acts of kindness go a long way in bringing healing to those around you.
