Pas umur segini nyesel perbendaharaan kata dalam bahasa Jawa yg kukuasi mostly bahasa ngoko, pesisiran pun. Karena bahasa Jawa krama, bahasa tembang macapatan, bahasa2 biasa dipake dalang itu lebih poetic.

Sama-sama gemar menggunakan metafora keseharian untuk menyampaikan rasa yang besar dengan cara yang sederhana. Struktur musikalnya jg mirip, nadanya melankolis, repetitif dan lebih menekankan rasa drpd cerita. Jadi yaaa wajar kalo “yearning”-nya terasa satu frekuensi. Hehe.
Kalau diperhatikan, lagu-lagu Jawa dan türküler (lagu rakyat Turki) memiliki pola emosi yang hampir identik: keduanya memusatkan narasi pada kerinduan yang tak selesai, kehilangan yang tenang, dan cinta yang penuh derita atau pasrah, hidup yang pedih, dll. (1/2)

Bukan liriknya tapi nuansa dari pilihan diksinya. Mustikaning asmara Memanike jantungku Senajan nyowo oncat soko rogo. Nuansanya gk literal seperti liriknya, kayak nonjok dari dalem gtu

Exactly!!! Apalagi lirik lagu campursari yg jadul-jadul omgggg! Tapi emang basically tembang2 Jawa tuh puitis sih. Some of my faves: Janjimu disekseni mega kartika kairing rasa tresna asih. Upama sliramu sekar melati, aku kumbang nyidham sari
