Only enforcement will prevent this reoccurance. Unfortunately by cleaning the street some people see it as an opportunity to get their rubbish cleared and will keep piling waste there. A firm hand is required for this. Enforced community service. Perhaps litter picking.

Composting is only a part of the solution. Plastics is the larger issue to resolve. Less than 1% of the plastic generative since its invention has been destroyed. That means 99% of all plastic manufactured is still on the planet or in landfill.
In Ghana l can speak of @irecopltd who are championing the need for recycling plants across the country. They have the tech for recycling n composting. I agree with u, its long overdue for the world to embrace recycling n composting. #AccraCleanProject

That is absolutely correct. Reducing cholera and malaria by only 1% in Ghana would save the Ghanaian Health Service and economy $9.3 million per year. Imagine what could be done if that saving were invested in Waste Management initiatives. #circulareconomy
Strong action is required here. Perhaps the people responsible should be convicted and given some form of community service.... Perhaps litter picking for 800 hours would change the mind set.

Every tonne collected has value.$$ Pass on that value and the objective becomes easier. A Circular Economy will make this problem something for history books. Keep up the traction gained and make Ghanain communities match the beauty of the Ghanaian people.
