Question? If a no convidence vote is being sought, where is the majority coming from as it will basically come down to a repeat of Joanna Cherrys option previously rejected in HoC? What am I missing?

Italy used to be hailed as a growth miracle. Until the 1980s, its postwar performance was one of the very best in the world, for a while surpassing the U.K. in per capita income. Since then, something has gone very wrong bloom.bg/2z2R8S3
New on the blog! What are the contributions of feminist economics to pluralism? This is a big topic so this will be a two part post, starting with the issue of the vast amount of unpaid labour performed at home and even at work, mostly by women: rethinkeconomics.org/journal/why-fe…

My mum found out this morn the govt are not going to give her my dad’s pension contributions. Labour cut down widows pension & now the Tories have gone back on their promise. My mum & dad worked for a combined 94 years & will receive the same pension as someone who worked for 10.

Question? Do tories secretly hope Corbyn succeeds? What if Labour overturns brexit, thus disenfranchises pro-brexit labour voters which switch to tories in a GE landslide securing tory power for years & UK remains in EU? Could this be tories long game & ultimate win win plan? 🤔
You could also tax multinationals in the #EU--which benefit from the single market the most but pay in the least--and use the proceeds (about 100bn #euro a year) to fund 20,000 euro endowments for each of the EU's 5 million 18 yr olds each year @BrankoMilan #inequality
How to deconcentrate capital: "give tax preferences to small investors to own shares. It could be a government-funded insurance whereby shares up to a certain amount would have a guaranteed real return (say, 1% per year) even in a case of a stock market decline". A nice idea.
A no-deal departure from the EU would ravage the economies of Scotland and Ireland bloom.bg/2z2aua2
