I’m flip-flopping on the US movements in terms of Iran. Yes they need to position assets for both strike and defence, but what will the popular momentum be in 10 days time? A lot can happen in that period.
The idea US and Israel ‘bluffed’ the IRGC into revealing their hand does have merit, and will certainly work as a bonus. They knew the ability to resist the IRGC response was compromised, especially without a carrier group present. But momentum may also take a serious sting too.
