Parallel suburbs beneath our feet. N. rats + soil = build rows of houses w/pantries, front & back doors, neighborhood streets to main highways to shopping (foraging) centers for food, water & nesting supplies. Us and them: daily resources-dependent survival habits. 🏘️🛣️🛒🥩

House mice in mouse houses. Me find 4 aptbuildings here. Mice LOVE cardbd boxes 4 big nesting. We shove boxes out-of-sight /out-of-mind dark areas & furgetaboutem. Boxes keep family odors. 2x walls + junk inside protect fm cold+ lower disturbing noises (low stress=more mice).🐭🐭

Saturday walky=Cityrat’s “digs”. Let’s drop by (unannounced 🫢). Most = 3 burrow holes: 1) main door (fresh soil kicked out); 2/3 rear & side doors for escaping danger (e.g., snakes,killer rats, water washouts++). Often pantry dug below for storing foods (v.cold/wet times).🚪🐀🏘️

Long Rodent. Once a building /area sustains its 1st mouse/rat infestation, it can suffer re-invasions for long decades after (environmental, structural & biological forces). Best long cure = THOROUGH pest proofing + environmental maintenance. Not permanent poison bait boxes.🐀📆
