Cam has been so fun to watch since coming up. Excited to see him pitch in October. Fried, Rodon, Cam, Gil is a solid group. Next season, add Cole to that mix.
A fine conclusion to the regular season for Cam Schlittler, who is in line to serve as the Yankees' Game 3 starter in the next round: 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K Season ERA: 2.96
If you're trying to make the case for Cal as MVP, this is not how you do it. The other guy in the running for MVP is literally going to be the AL Batting Champion and he has 50+ HRs. Superior On-Base, Slugging, etc.
If you're a writer with an MVP vote, this needs to be taken into consideration. What we are seeing this season from Aaron Judge is special.
I don't think this stat is getting enough attention: Aaron Judge is going to be the 3rd player in MLB history to hit 50 or more homers and win a batting title. The others: Mickey Mantle (1956) and Jimmie Foxx (1938).
Judge still comes through with a big hit with the bases loaded. The umpire should be embarassed.
Boone had no choice but to get tossed in this spot. Some truly terrible calls against the best hitter in the game.
