NYS Spring Athletes 2021
@NysSpring
Advocating for spring athletes in New York State. #1 goal right now is to make sure all spring sports get to play through Regents exams until the end of June.

The fact that little league baseball/softball and youth lacrosse leagues have started playing games before high school has started practicing is mind blowing.
We just can’t figure out why getting spring athletes back playing again after having an entire year cancelled wasn’t priority #1 for @RobertZayasNY Here we are almost a month after the normal spring start date and we are still waiting to play.
A logical person would think that after losing an entire season, leaders would prioritize getting those athletes back on the field/court/track ASAP. Not when you live in a world run by @RobertZayasNY NYSPHAA and @NYSAAA6 . Now we have the CDC director linking outbreaks to sports.
You can’t just conveniently forget that spring had no season last year. Yes, no one wanted that, but it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Spring should’ve gotten extra consideration this year because of it. Unfortunately, @RobertZayasNY @NYSAAA6 and others want you to forget it.
75 and sunny today. Instead of playing lacrosse, baseball, softball and track, none of them are allowed to compete in NYS. How did @RobertZayasNY think this was a good idea? You do remember that we had NO season last year right? The disregard for spring athletes is sickening.
