Now that the semester is at an end, we will resume our post after the new years. From everyone from the archives, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Happy Holidays Comets! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Back in 1893 Olivet College had multiple eating clubs focused on different types of food, would you eat "Pinch Bugs" for your Thanksgiving dinner?
What do you call a conversation between two trash cans? Trash Talk. A student from the 1975 yearbook giving trash to a hand inside the trash can.
Sara Benedict (1841-1919) was part of the first graduating class in 1863 that consisted only of woman, where she would later teach art classes for 5 years. One of her works will be shown in the art building along with other art from the college collection from Nov. 10th-30th.
Mather Hall was built and completed in 1885. Named after a donor, Roland Mather. Originally served as the science building, it also featured an exceptional museum, this building would be torn down in 1965 to make room for our current learning center, Mott Academic Center in 1966.
What do you call a fat pumpkin? A plumpkin! Halloween is just around the corner and we look at a group of students from the 1960s carving pumpkins for the holiday.
It's Fall Break here on campus, we look back during the 1970s when a student took a break from homework and classes to make a phone call.
A group of students during the late 1800s/early 1900s gathered for class outside, listening to a fellow student speak.
Are you excited for the Homecoming festivities? Now that we are closer to the Homecoming game, we look back at the 1955 Football program against Hillsdale College.

What is your favorite fall activity? Now that it's officially fall, we look back to 1986 Olivet campus with the beautiful colors.
Have you taken an art class? Now that we are settling into the semester and midterms are just around the corner, we look at the past students from the early 2000s sculpture class finishing up their sculptures, taught by our own Gary Wertheimer.
After the construction was complete in 1974, Donald Rowe drew the conservatory that same year. Can you spot any differences on the outside since the 1970s?
Are you looking forward to our first football game of the season? Our football players have been working and training hard, but remember to make sure you stay hydrated like our past players did.
If you had a time capsule what would you put in it? Or were you able to participate in one during your time at Olivet? Displayed inside our historical Burrage Library on campus, filled with papers, photos, and newspapers from our rich early history.
Welcome New and Returning students! Shipherd Hall is one of our dorms on campus and named after the founder of our historical college. The original Shipherd Hall was burned down in 1959 and rebuilt in 1966 where it stands today.
Flashback to the graduating class of 1890 while we celebrate the class of 2022 as they graduate this weekend! Do you have any graduation memories at Olivet?
