Today was National Day of Encouragement. OJH Student Council wrote uplifting messages to students and teachers on Encouragement Cards. In addition, positive messages were painted on #OFAM Rocks and hidden around the campus for students to find.

Tonight at the August board meeting, Dr. Shaun McAlpin presented OJH Assistant Principal David Mire a Bravo Award for his heroic effort to save a student from choking. Mr. Elgin Browning was also on hand to present a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the BCFD.
OJH StuCo hosted their annual Veterans Breakfast last Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Student Council had the pleasure of serving 14 local veterans, as well as their family members. Guests were served breakfast & were given gifts of candy and patriotic hand-painted rocks.
Monday, November 1st, the Orangefield Junior High Student Council officers and members attended the 2021 District 17 Fall Convention at Ford Park. Students participated in ice breakers and table talks and attended a presentation by keynote speaker, Jared Scott.
