Spring is here! Busy last 2 weeks at OGC. New trees going in, renovated 13 tee, first cup and first spray of the year (seedhead suppression). Continuing on stumphole cleanup as we head into our first tournament of the year on Saturday. BUCKLE UP!

Better late than never! Tees getting a heavy coating of sand a “few” days after aeration. Should make for a nice surface heading into summer! @Gmanos86
Here’s another standout of the week @nsschell He was in charge of putting green water management on the back 9. There’s no more important job than water management @uswomensopen when the weather is dry. He knocked it out of the park as you can see by the condition of the greens.
18 tee is set to open in a few days after a major facelift. Combining 2 separate undersized tees, into one level surface, almost tripling it’s teeing ground! @Gmanos86

A cold start to spring aerification wrapped up beautifully during the solar eclipse. Greens deep and solid tined, fertilized, topdressed while fairways got a solid tine with @earthworksturf 5-4-5 coming tomorrow. OGC is ready for the season! @Gmanos86
Spring seems to be arriving early in many areas, but lots of courses are wet from melting snow or recent rains and they won't dry quickly at this time of year. Everyone needs to be patient with early season conditions to avoid causing lasting damage.

60 degrees and a packed tee sheet a few days ago, 4” and counting this morning. The Zelcova behind 5 green got a haircut just in time (pictures are 16 hours apart). @Gmanos86 @ManheimTwp
By now, we’re usually winterizing the irrigation system. Mother Nature has had different plans for us with below average moisture. The benefit is, great fall golf! @Gmanos86 @USGAGrnSection
Our driving range is back in action after a week off for Fall Fest. Some much needed recovery took place and gleaming today!
When the weather is right, we aerify! Getting after some weak fairways with a core aerification following by slit seeding a new Bentgrass variety for better summer performance!
A great day to deeptine greens and get some oxygen exchange down into the profile. This practice improves root development and will get us through “the last stretch” of summer before true aerification the last week of September.
Avoided a potential compete loss thanks to quick acting crew to put out the fire. Snapped battery mount arced, melting the battery housing leading to an acid leak on a hot engine. Always know where your extinguishers are! @SuperProblems @GCSAA @Gmanos86
