Because of the time it took me to deviate, we arrived back on route 2NM BEHIND 553. (This is perfectly ok FWIW). We both realized that we were stacked PERFECTLY for the sunrise which was about to happen and we’re about to get some amazing footage! Here’s how it started:
#OnThisDay in 2003 a @British_Airways #Concorde made its last commercial flight, from @JFKairport to @HeathrowAirport, full of celebs & frequent Concorde flyers, touching 1350mph (2173km/h) en route. Great & IMHO very moving short film by @BBCArchive.
TPA loves the Planespotters! Today, we took 15 spotters out on the airfield for a tour with some wide bodies and special liveries. Thanks to all who joined the tour! 🛫
20 Years ago today at this exact moment @stojanmarion - then a Commercial student, and myself a CFI were doing maneuvers over central NJ about 30 miles south of Manhattan. The towers were clearly visible. I remember commenting: is that a fire? Things would never be the same

#OnceUponATime it was me looking up at the heavies taxiing past, dreaming of the day it’d be me on the left seat of that heavy. Today it’s me looking back on the journey to this seat and on the sacrifices we make as professional aviators every time we leave our families to fly.
