To kick off March Madness, I read The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors to @kayepina's class. We then held a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament complete with a bracket. It was quite the battle, but the winner was thrilled with her prize of chocolate smelly stickers.
We had a great talk in 5th gr. about ALA's book awards. They noted that the awards were named after older people & wanted something fresher. It was decided that there needs to be an award for books with a strong female protagonist. The award seal should feature a duck. #112Leads
