Last season Kovacic is protected to keep 11 players on, after a clear second yellow. Surely the same protection could’ve been given to Trossard today, to keep the game competitive? Same ref, different decision.

After Kovacic got the benefit of the doubt on the 1st call, feel as though the second foul, which was late, should’ve been a yellow. Had he not been on a card, feel the 2nd foul would’ve been a yellow. Good to have 11 Vs 11 on the pitch, but hopefully we get some 50/50 calls.
Raya looks so indecisive, and lacking in confidence. Perhaps he’s been brought in too early ahead of Ramsdale. Based on performance, struggle to see how he keeps his spot. If he’s does, may signal the end for Ramsdale, as Arteta then clearly has made a permanent call.
ETHs delusion has United fans comparing Garnacho’s offside to Diaz’s goal. It’s insanity, tech didn’t fail yesterday, it was human error. Garnacho was offside - ETH post match comments have genuinely got United fans thinking the lines were drawn wrong.
How are fans still comparing these two decisions, it’s crazy? One was offside, & the other was human error - nothing to do with tech. Liverpool fans were correct, tech is not the problem - yesterday mistake was human error, the tech got it spot on - Garnacho was offside, end of.

Odegaard picked up a yellow last week against Spurs for making the same gesture, after Udogie fouled Saka. Zero consistency.

Why didn’t the VAR show the angle from behind, where it shows how his foot comes over the ball. Feel there was enough of a mitigating circumstance. Tough call - will be interesting to see how the rest of the game plays out.
