This was a 1TB hard drive in 1937. It was the largest vertical letter file in the world. 4000 SqFt. with over 3000 drawers 10 feet long managed by 20 workers. Access speed was ~3 minutes per KB.
I just don’t buy the statement “We’re just not set up to train entry-level engineers, therefore we only hire experienced devs.” If you won’t hire folks trying to break in, you’re taking from the commons but not giving back. You don’t deserve seniors if you won’t train juniors 🥰
