OpenZFS 2.2.5 is now available as the newest stable update to this open-source ZFS file-system implementation for Linux and FreeBSD systems.
Do you have an #OpenZFS snapshot that even the root user shouldn’t be allowed to delete? Create a “zfs hold”. To remove the #ZFS hold so the snapshot can be deleted, use “zfs release” to remove the hold.
With much love for the community, iX and Klara have developed and donated the Fast Dedup capability for #OpenZFS. Fast Dedup will be available in future releases of #TrueNAS with it landing in the nightly images of TrueNAS SCALE in March 2024: bit.ly/49EHK6F
