One hundred years ago, a pioneering group of women proposed the Equal Rights Amendment to enshrine gender equality in the Constitution. A century later, our fight continues to finish what they started, codifying women’s rights and gender equality once and for all.
Congress ALREADY did it’s part in 1972. In 1972 the ERA passed by 354 yeas to 24 nays in the House & 84 yeas, 8 nays in the Senate. THERE IS NO FURTHER ROLE FOR CONGRESS @POTUS can get the ERA across the finish line TODAY! ⬇️⬇️

On July 21, 2023 we celebrated 100 years of the movement for the Equal Rights Amendment—in the *exact* same location where it was unveiled on July 21, 1923. Planning this w some of the brightest, most committed equality advocates across the country made my heart swell w joy.
100 years after its first introduction, contemporary ERA advocates gathered to mark this important historic milestone and plan for the final push for recognition of the ERA. msmagazine.com/2023/07/26/sen…
The location of Crystal Eastman's grave has been a mystery for 95 years. Until her biography was published in 2020 not even her grandchildren knew where she was buried. A group of family, historians & advocates re-discovered her plot & placed a proper headstone to honor her.
