It has been 33 years since the Montreal Massacre at the Polytechnique. On December 6,1989, 14 women were murdered and another 10 women and four men were injured in a deadly attack motivated by misogyny.

On this day of National Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women, Women's Shelters Canada remembers the 14 women who were murdered by a horrific act of mass femicide at École Polytechnique de Montréal on December 6th, 1989.
